The Weavers Bazaar Collection

Weavers Bazaar

What if your walls could speak? What if they could whisper the stories of Ancient crafts, Bustling Bazaar, and Quiet Villages where threads told stories before words did?

Welcome to the Weavers Bazaar collection by Ankita Arya, a design journey that transcends you globally, honouring the textiles heritage of both India and the world. Here every wallpaper is an amalgamation of Indian and Global designs. It’s a voice from a distant land, a page from history and a bridge between tradition and luxury living.

Born from fabric, reborn for walls.

Weavers bazaar is our homage to the textiles traditions that shaped cultures- Jamawar from kashmir, Kantha from bengal, Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh, Pashmina from Srinagar, Suzani from Uzbekistan, Ikat from Indonesia, and Ottoman from Turkey.

We began by immersing ourselves in these traditions studying their motifs, colors, regional histories, and symbolic meanings. Then we transformed them through a contemporary design lens to create wallpapers that retain the soul of the original textile, yet belong to the homes of today.

Each product is named not only after textile but also after their place or cultural symbol associated with Begum, Zaina, Bukhara and more, giving each piece a geographic and emotional anchor.

From loom to Living room

What makes this collection so intimate is the slow, and intentional process behind it.

Cultural & Visual Research Scrolled through the books, Library Archives, textiles and ancient bazaar reference and heirloom fabrics to understand the storytelling behind each technique.

Motif reinterpretation We handsketch traditional motifs like paisleys, elephants, floral jaals, suzani medallions, ikat waves then reinterpret them digitally to make them scalable for wallpaper without losing their hand-drawn charm.

Palette selection colors are carefully chosen to retain their cultural richness while being versatile for luxury homes- warm saffron, earthy browns, deep indigos and soft golds.

Digitalisation and Paper selection Every wallpaper goes through detailed rendering to understand and bring that original textile look and feel. We choose three types of paper: Canvas, Matte, Feather to make it visually balanced and how the patterns flow and how it breathes in a space.

Each story has two designs Jaal (dense all-over pattern) and Boota (spaced-out motif) so you can choose how much drama or subtlety you want on your walls.

Why We Created Weavers Bazaar? You Ask.

At Weavers Bazaar, we believe design is a vessel for memory. A wall isn’t merely a surface, it’s a canvas that carries the weight of culture. In a world rushing toward the future, we find power in pausing to honour the past. With Weavers Bazaar, we invite you to journey the world without leaving home, experiencing the depth of global textile heritage through the lens of a contemporary Indian design studio.

Let your walls become a reflection of your roots. Or your wanderlust. Or both.

Let them speak the language of the loom. Explore our collection.
